Harry Styles Releases The Hounds… Er, Puppies In “Kiwi” Video
Harry Styles is at it again – and “Kiwi,” – well… It rocks.
Nobody really knows what this song is about from what I’ve read, but my best guesses are as follows:
The chorus says “I’m having your baby, it’s none of your business” – as far as we know, Harry is not a dad, so my next best guess is how this could somehow tie into the fact that his former boy-band mate Louis Tomlinson has a one-year-old son, and that was a partial shake-up in the One Direction history. Liam Payne also now has a child.
The other theory relates to these lines:
“It’s New York, baby, always jacked up
Whole tunnels, foreign noses always backed up
When she’s alone, she goes home to a cactus
In a black dress, she’s such an actress.”
Not to have to relate EVERYTHING to Harry Styles and Taylor Swift‘s former relationship, but Taylor’s 1989 had everything to do with New York. Between that and how Tay had a song that pointed out another feud calling the girl “an actress,” it would make sense that this could relate to Taylor. The only way this could be more of a poignant line is if instead of going home to a cactus, it was a cat.
Though these theories can be off, the music video is pretty hilarious, with kids having a food fight before Harry joins in with a slew of puppy dogs. And can we just say, the main girl with the blue suit that’s dressed like Harry, MAN does she look a lot like him. Does Harry have a sister?
