Demi Lovato On Touring: ‘I Can’t Do This Anymore’
Demi Lovato announced today that her Holy Fvck tour will be her last. In several since-deleted Instagram Stories the singer posted photos looking out of a hotel room window with the words, “I’m so f—ing sick I can’t get out of bed. I can’t do this anymore. This next tour will be my last. I love and thank you guys.”

While Lovato, 30, indicated in the Stories that it would be “this next tour” that would be their last, music outlets like Billboard are taking it to mean their current tour is what she meant by that. The singer then posted another set of Stories that reads: “Gonna power thru it for you guys [sick emoji] [black heart emoji] I’ll need help singing so sing loud for me bb’s!!”
Along with a backstage selfie Lovato wrote, “I barely have a voice, I’m gonna be pointing the mic to the audience a lot tonight. Please sing for me [black heart emoji].” The tour began exactly one month ago in Des Moines, Iowa, before moving to a series of South American dates, the most recent of which was scheduled tonight in Santiago, Chile. Videos and images posted online seem to indicate they did end up performing last night (September 13).

Following their concert, Lovato wrote on her Stories, “You guys reeeeally pulled thru tonight.. Thank you sooo f—ing much – I love you more than you know.”
It is unclear what this means for the remainder of her tour, which is set to go on through November 6. As we previously reported, Lovato admitted that she regrets doing three documentaries on her sobriety and mental health. Demi said she used the documentaries to help explain what she was going through at certain periods in her life. However, the singer admits she may have jumped the gun a bit. “I wish I would have waited until I had my s— figured out more because now it’s cemented,” Demi said. “Sobriety is what works for me and nothing else.”
The “Substance” singer said they aren’t opposed to opening up to fans again sometime in the future. However, they will use another avenue besides documentaries. “My story’s not done,” she said. “So I want to be able to say by the time I’ve written a book, ‘OK, this is me grown up.’”
