‘House of the Dragons’ Series Premiere: Fans React

With the premiere of the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragons Sunday (August 21) night, fans of George R.R. Martin's series took to social media to share their thoughts.

Based on 2018's Fire & Blood novel, House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It’s the story of the Targaryen dynasty and the civil war that scorched the House’s history.

The cast includes Paddy Considine (King Viserys Targaryen), Matt Smith (Prince Daemon Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower), Emma D’Arcy (Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon, “The Sea Snake”), Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Targaryen), Sonoya Mizuno (Mysaria), Fabien Frankel (Ser Criston Cole) and Rhys Ifans (Otto Hightower).
