John Stamos is widely recognized for being on the sitcom Full House as Uncle Jesse or Jesse Katsopolis. He was born on August 19, 1963. He has familial roots in Greece; his original family surname is Stamatopoulos. His parents were supportive of his aspiration to be an actor, and instead of enrolling in college in 1981, he skipped his first semester to focus on launching his professional acting career. After just three weeks, he landed his first role on General Hospital as Blackie Parrish. By 1984, Stamos was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for the role.

Stamos' Television Career

That same year, he landed a lead role, but in a short-lived CBS sitcom titled Dreams, in which he played an aspiring musician in a band. In 1986, Stamos starred in his first film, the spy action Never Too Young to Die, alongside Gene Simmons. The film was intended to be a "young James Bond" film, even starring former Bond actor George Lazenby as the father of Stamos' character. However, it was a critical and commercial flop.

Despite that, Stamos landed the role that solidified his acting career in Full House in 1987. He asked that the character's last name be Katsopolis to highlight his Greek heritage. After eight seasons, the series came to an end, but he has since maintained close relationships with co-stars Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin, Jodie Sweetin, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Andrea Barber, and Candace Cameron Bure. Following the end of Full House, the actor appeared in numerous made-for-television films, stage productions, television series, and commercials. And he returned to his most famous role in Fuller House in 2016. He also landed a lead role in the sitcom Grandfathered, also starring Josh Peck and Christina Milian.

Take a look below at how John Stamos hasn't aged over the years:

On this November 2001 appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,' Stamos looks like not a day went by since he left the 'Full House' set in 1995. With a freshly-shaven face, incredible cheekbones, and dimples from his big smile, the man looks utterly handsome at 37 years old.

While attending the opening night of 'Hairspray' in July 2004, Stamos rocks a full beard. He wore a style very popular in the early 2000s: a blazer with a graphic tee underneath. The actor shows that it really doesn't matter how old you are -- you can still have fun with fashion trends and look good doing it.

Here, Stamos is well into his 40s, but looks like a college student with his stubble and thick-rimmed eyeglasses. Funnily enough, the event he was in attendance was 'US Weekly's Hot Hollywood: Fresh 15.'

We love this image of Stamos with his 'Full House' co-star, the late Bob Saget. On this night in August 2008, the pair arrived at Comedy Central's 'Roast Of Bob Saget.' Both men looked fantastic and had a sun-kissed tan while they were playful and all smiles on the red carpet.

John Stamos made it painfully clear he can only wear two facial hairstyles: clean-shaven or full beard, because this goatee is SO not it. While attending the Broadway Opening after party of "Promises, Promises" in April 2010, Stamos was not married, so no one was able to stop him from going out in public looking like that. Despite the bad choice in facial hair, he looks younger than ever.

Nope, you did not read that wrong. This photo is in fact, from 2013. Stamos revived his iconic mullet from the '80s sitcom, 'Full House' while appearing with his band from the show, Jesse and the Rippers on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' in July 2013. This photo reminds us that Stamos + leather = a match made in heaven.

Thankfully, Stamos didn't revive the mullet again for the premiere of 'Fuller House' in 2016! Instead, he offered up a clean look, with a freshly-shaven face, a short haircut, and those iconic dimples.

Donning the short, messy-ish haircut that we love to see on him. Can you believe that Stamos is 54 here?! We believe he dyes his hair, judging from the grays in his sideburns, beard, and little slivers we see on his head. But the dark brown locks make him look as youthful as ever.

While attending MusiCares Person of the Year honoring Aerosmith in 2020, we notice Stamos' hair is darker than a few years prior. If you look closely near his temple, there are some grays peeking out. Despite that, the man has remained gorgeous over the last 30+ years, and we can't possibly imagine it being any different for the next 30 years the way he's going.

With the longest hair we've ever seen him wear since his mullet on his 'Full House' days, Stamos also rocks it with the longest beard we've seen him sport, too. There are minimal signs of gray hairs, and with this lux velvet green suit, the man still looks youthful and really, really good.
