Today Sunday, April 2nd (Palm Sunday) 92nd w/273 left in 2023

April is full of all kinds of Spring activity in our parts. Not in order of importance, but by order of occurrence, we’ve begun baseball season, we’ll crown women’s and men’s college basketball national champions today and tomorrow. For Muslims, Ramadon began March 22nd and lasts a month. Coming up in the next 7 days is Easter week for Christians. Jews observe Passover beginning Wednesday night at sundown until the 13th. The Masters – a tradition unlike any other – takes place this week. And there are a bevy of activities around non-profits starting up this month. Last night at Segra Stadium marked the All in it for Kids Comedy Show for the benefit of Communities in Schools in Cumberland County, helping students at-risk for not finishing school. Find out more how you can help at CISNC-dot-org.

Brandon Price is the President and C.E.O. of Habitat for Humanity of Cumberland, Hoke and Scotland Counties. We’ll hear an entire conversation with Brandon in coming weeks, but right now, so you can put April 22nd on your calendar for more than simply Earth Day, Brandon explained his organization’s Saturday, April 22nd Framing the Future fundraiser.  For more information of Fayetteville, NC’s Habitat for Humanity, visit FayettevilleNCHabitat-dot-ORG. And put April 22nd on YOUR calendar.

The Month of April is Child Abuse prevention month – and a key for Fayetteville’s Child Advocacy Center. They’ll come into April with a huge Awareness Campaign – complete with Pinwheels – holding educational seminars throughout the month -and head out of April into their biggest fundraiser of the year. The Child Advocacy Center has an enormous mission – helping children heal and hope after traumatic abuse. We found out more listening to Fayetteville Child Advocacy Center’s Prevention and Volunteer Coordinator, Faith Boehmer!

Faith explained April’s Pinwheel kit sales and child-abuse prevention seminar, plus other future activities.

The URL for the Child Advocacy Center – Fayetteville, North Carolina is simply “CACFayNC-dot-ORG!” – CACFayNC-dot-ORG.

Please help them if you can!
