Hailey Bieber Talks Pregnancy & Distance From Famous Family
In a recent cover story for W Magazine, Hailey Bieber talked about her pregnancy, which she and Justin Bieber first announced with a vow renewal video back in May. They shared the news of their baby on Instagram in a joint post.
Addressing The Delay in Her Announcement
Hailey kept her pregnancy mostly private at first and admitted she almost kept it a secret even longer to protect her privacy. She told W Magazine, “I probably could have [hidden] it until the end, but I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
In photos from the magazine, Hailey showed off her baby bump in different poses, including one on the cover where she wore a black bra and tights while sitting in a chair.
Hailey acknowledged that being open about her pregnancy could attract negative comments. “People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one. ‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy,” she said.
She also talked about her worries at the start of her pregnancy. Hailey said it was very emotional for her because she deeply loves Justin and was concerned about adding a new person into their close relationship. “I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us,” she admitted.
Family Ties
Hailey mentioned that she feels distant from her famous family. “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent,” she revealed.
Experiencing Pregnancy
She previously posted a picture on Instagram Stories of herself with her legs in an ice bath to deal with the heat during her pregnancy. “If you’re pregnant in this heat … Trust me, feet + legs in the ice bath or cold plunge,” she wrote, along with pinch emojis.
In the photo, Hailey had her legs crossed with her feet in the blue water. This tip came after she shared in June that she had been experiencing lower back pain. “So who was gonna tell me about the lower back pain?” she wrote, along with pregnancy emojis as she sat in a chair.
