Ryan Reynolds Gets Disturbingly Ripped In ‘Free Guy’ Commercial
In the latest promo for Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming movie Free Guy, we see an altered version of him as a jacked dude who can’t stop bouncing his pecs.
The very obviously CGI-ed Reynolds is summoned by Taika Waititi’s villainous character Antoine in the ad.
Named “Dude,” the muscular character’s catchphrase happens to be “catchphrase,” which Antoine seems to be very pleased about coming up with.
When “Dude” faces off with Guy (also played by Reynolds), he kicks his butt on a beach. He then pauses the scene to talk more about himself and his daily regimen, which includes a protein bomb made exclusively of “human muscle. It’s completely organic and illegal.”
At one point, “Dude” picks up Deadpool’s suit off of his couch and although he acknowledges his buff build no longer fits in the suit, “Life is about growth…hormones.”
Reynolds posted a clip of the ad on Instagram writing, “Wanna win an Oscar? It helps to drastically and dangerously alter your body. I’m going to bench press the entire f—ing Academy on August 13th.”
Hugh Jackman hilariously commented, “You look …. better.”
Another person complimented Taika Waititi’s monstrous creation, “@taikawaititi what a beautiful creature you’ve created 😂😂😂”

Last month, Deadpool and Korg watched the Free Guy trailer, where seemed to express that Deadpool will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“DP is officially in the MCU! He’s starting with reaction videos, then some social influencer work, onto Parks appearances all leading up to some after-credit work by 2030,” Reynolds wrote on Instagram.
