Kim Kardashian And Other Stars At The 2024 LACMA Art Film Gala
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art held its annual Art + Film Gala Snday night. Now in its thirteenth year, notable stars and celebrities have gathered to celebrate and honor artist Simone Leigh and filmmaker Baz Luhrmann. The event was co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCarpio.
What is the LACMA Art Film Gala?
According to its website, the “proceeds from the annual Art + Film Gala go toward underwriting LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission.”
Per LACMA Chief Executive, Michael Govan as reported by LA Times, it was the museum’s most successful gala ever which raised $6.4 million.
Who Attended the Event?
Many celebrities attended the event including Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively, Laura Dern, Anna Kendrick, Viola Davis, Emily Ratajkowski, Sarah Paulson, Eiza González, Devon Carlson, Andrew Garfield, Kaia Gerber, Colman Domingo, Taylor Zakhar Perez, and Cara Delevingne among others with Troye Sivan and Charli XCX providing lively entertainment for the guests.
What the Stars Wore
It seemed the trending style for the LACMA Art Film Gala is a mix of monochromatic and minimalist style. Some celebrities opted for metallics, sheer fabrics, lace details and daring cutouts.
Blake Lively wore a chainmail minidress with a voluminous cape by Tamara Ralph.
Kim Kardashian wore a white dress with a plunging neckline. She accessorized it with Princess Diana’s cross necklace which stirred some controversy, as fans expressed mixed reactions online regarding her use of the late princess’ piece.
Charli XCX showed her curves in a metallic two piece by Gucci, the sponsor of the LACMA Art Film Gala.
The actress and singer Eiza Gonzáles was also stunning in an orange sheer dress by Gucci.
EGOT winner Viola Davis looked ethereal wearing a black dress also from Gucci.
Ricky Martin also attended the event. The singer, songwriter and actor wore a mustard-colored suit.
The actor and director Colman Domingo wore a velvet jacket featuring Gucci’s iconic interlocking Gs.
Co-stars Lee So-Hyuk and Rowoon from the Korean 2022 TV series Tomorrow were also in attendance. Both Hallyu stars looked dapper in their black suits.

Omar Apollo also wore a Gucci scarlet suit without a shirt underneath.
