The 2024 Cumberland County Fair: All the Info on Deals, Rides and More
It’s the final fleeting weeks of summer, which means that fall fair season is upon us! The Cumberland County Fair has been a family favorite event for over 150 years in Fayetteville, and now it’s coming back to help the community close out summer with a bang. Here’s everything you need to know for the upcoming 2024 Cumberland County Fair.
When And Where Is The Cumberland County Fair?
The 2024 Cumberland County Fair kicks off August 30 and runs until September 8 at the Crown Complex in Fayetteville. Families are encouraged to come to the ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 30 at 4:45.
The gates will officially open at 5:00 PM that evening to kick off the next week of fair fun. From Aug. 31 to Sep. 2 gates will open earlier in the day at 1:00 PM, then at 5:00 PM from Sep. 3 to Sep. 6. The fair will open gates at 1:00 PM on both days of its final weekend.
Admission Prices
Ticket prices for the 2024 Cumberland County Fair vary depending on the day. On opening day admission is $10 for everyone 13 years or older, with a cost of $5 for kids ages 3-12. Any military members and first responders with valid ID can enjoy free admission on opening day as well.
If you’re trying to save money while still enjoying all that the fair has to offer, consider coming through for $2 Tuesday on September 3, where the entrance fee only costs $2 all day long.
There are many opportunities to enjoy free or cheap admission as well on Thursday September 5. Recognized as A Day Of Giving, fairgoers can bring in six non-perishable food items per person for a free fair ticket.
Thursday is also 4-H and FFA Day, which grants card-holding members of those organizations free admission to the fair. Admission will be reduced to $2 for students and school staff with school ID for School Kids and Personnel Day.

Fair Food, Fun, Festivities and…Fire?
The 2024 Cumberland County Fair is promising a plethora of fun experiences that the entire family can enjoy for the entire week. The Crown Complex will be filled with a wide variety of exhilarating rides for thrill-seeking fairgoers all week long. You can also find a ton of fun fair games to play for your chance to win some cool prizes and trinkets.
A number of exhibits will also be on display as you explore the fairgrounds. This is where the best bakers, crafters, artists, and gardeners in Cumberland County can show off their skills and win major prizes. Applications for inside vendors and exhibitors are still being accepted as of the time of this article. Click here to apply!
The fairgrounds will also be abuzz with the sounds of incredible live music. The live acts will cover a vast range of musical styles, from southern rock to the blues, gospel and bluegrass.
In addition to amazing musical acts, one of the things I’m personally looking forward to most is the Ember Fire Arts, a dazzling, fiery spectacle that brought the “heat” to last year’s fair event. If you haven’t seen Amber do her thing live and up close, you’re in for a treat.
And of course, we can’t forget about the delicious fair food! I suggest you show up with an empty stomach so you can fill up on corndogs, turkey legs, funnel cakes and all manner of deep-fried goodies.
