Dua Lipa Drops The Album, And The Thank-Yous
The English-Albanian rising pop superstar's new '70s-inspired psychedelia album delivered on the hype that she has been teasing for months. Taking to social media, Dua, 28, wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "RADICAL OPTIMISM IS YOURS!!! grateful beyond belief for what this album has gifted me during the time of writing and i'm so happy/relieved/excited/nervous/crying/fizzing it's finally yours. I love you and thank you for all the support every step of the way [heart emoji]."
The singer/dancer/songwriter provided a photo of a very long thank you letter. In it, she discusses how she discovered the meaning behind "radical optimism" and how it changed her view of life.
On Instagram, she provided more slides in celebration of her new tunes. Collaborator Kevin Parker from psych-rock band Tame Impala is featured in both posts working with her in the studio alongside the rest of her small group of songwriting collaborators.
Fan Reactions To Radical Optimism
Reacting to her Instagram post, one fan wrote: "SOUNDS AS GOOD AS A SUMMER DAY!!!!!! u outdid yourself as always :) love u pop princess." A second commented, "thank you for spilling your whole heart into this album. I couldn’t be more proud of you and this work of art my beautiful Dua!! I love you infinitely [white heart emoji]." A third swooned, "This album is perfect from start to finish [teary eyed emoji] congrats to you and everyone involved."
Some fans shared their favorite tracks of the album. "These walls are the best one out of all," wrote one person. Meanwhile, another said, "I personally liked whatcha doing [red heart emoji]." A third said, "Love whatcha doing, French exit, and happy for you!" Another fan shared that "These walls is the best track."
Spreading the love on X, fans kept "Radical Optimism" trending. Commenting on Dua's singles, one fan said, "I don’t know who needs to hear this but after listening to radical optimism in full, houdini, training season and illusion are standout tracks and were correctly chosen as singles." Another fan posted a funny video of an empty store and wrote: "me looking for skips on radical optimism." A third hilariously posted a clip immediately liking, watching, and rating the album five stars, writing: "me 0.0001223111 sec after listening to radical optimism."

After years and millions of dollars, the high-tech entertainment venue that is the Las Vegas Sphere has become "a world-first immersive destination." The venue first opened in Las Vegas in September 2023, snagging U2 with an ongoing concert residency starting on September 29 and running through March 2. The band's longtime collaborator and technical director Stefaan “Smasher” Desmedt and technology partner Weka worked together to make the band’s stunning visual imagery in 4K video.

The Sphere’s LED screen inside the theater is 160,000 square feet, boasting 16,000 pixels by 16,000 pixels — the highest resolution in the world. Also featuring 1,600 speaker panels using spatial audio through the screen without any visible speakers in the auditorium, the venue makes those in attendance fully immersed in sound and visuals. The arena can hold up to 18,600 guests in the auditorium. It is no wonder why the company wants to expand, as it is clearly leading the entertainment industry in the right direction.
Besides U2, rumors of Beyoncé planning a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere swirled after her Super Bowl country album announcement in which she sat atop the glowing globe. Partnering with Verizon in the $50 million advertisement, the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer tries to break the internet over and over again. Taking on different personas and skills, she opens a lemonade stand, drops a "saxy" album, becomes a Twitch gamer by the handle @IamSlayoncé, a Beyonc-AI double, Bar-Bey, running for "BOTUS," on top of the Sphere atop a silver horse, and the first woman to launch the first rocket to the first performance in space. The commercial concluded by cryptically teasing the release of "new music," Beyoncé's country album, Act II, on March 29th.

The record-breaking pop icon performing a residency at the Sphere would be an iconic feat that Swifties would hold dear forever. If Swift were to play the Sphere, it would be interesting to see what kind of cinematic visuals she would have playing around her to accompany her acclaimed music catalog.
