Spring and summer are coming up. So, that means it will soon be time to get outside and enjoy some of the wonders of North Carolina. That’s great, but remember to be careful, too. Some of the most beautiful, wonderous areas of the state can also be dangerous. But, that’s no reason to stay away. Just be smart about it. That said, a popular North Carolina spot has been named the most dangerous in the state.
The new study comes from A-z-animals.com. “With intense hiking trails, powerful rivers, and haunted circles; there are a lot of North Carolina attractions for thrill seekers,” they note. “Whether you want to walk across a mile-high bridge that sings in the wind or zip down a famous motorcycle path, this state seems to have a bit of everything.” So, the publication says that in the article, while they’re pointing out the dangers of these areas, they are also pointing out the good things about the spots, too.
Before we get to No. 1, let’s look at the second most dangerous spot in the state according to this study. It’s simply the city of Henderson. In the article, A-z-animals.com calls Henderson a “complex” location, as it’s “both incredible and dangerous and definitely worth learning about.” Some of the good things about Henderson include its farmers markets, camping historic outdoor theater. But, the publication nots that the city also has “high crime rates, leading to its classification as one of the most dangerous places in the state.”
So, what’s No. 1 most dangerous spot in North Carolina, according to this study? It’s the beautiful Grandfather Mountain Trail. The outlet notes that even though it’s beautiful, it can be dangerous.
