Cannon, 42, celebrated what would have been Zen's second birthday (June 23). His baby boy, whom she shared with model Alyssa Scott, died of brain cancer -- just about 5 and 1/2 months after he was born. Cannon and Scott, 29, share another child, a daughter Halo, six months.

Over the weekend, the Celebrity Prank Wars host posted two photos on Instagram honoring Zen. In the first image, Cannon is pictured with Scott and their friends and family on a beach with a big illuminated sign that spells out "Zen." In the second photo, the group gathers around a bundle of glowing balloons. He captioned the tribute: "A Difficult Day that turned into a Beautiful Night… We will forever celebrate Zen’s Light! I love you Son." See the post here.
Always Remembering Zen
In January 2022, Cannon honored his late son on Instagram. In the photo, Cannon sat with five of his children, including 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Cannon captioned the photo: "Still missing my little dude… His Spirit and brightness were soo strong #ZensLight." He continued, "'To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord'. 2Corinthians 5:8 The whole family, We ALL miss you young King! Forever Our Angel!"
One year Zen's passing Cannon wrote gave an update on Instagram of how his death impacted him. "Physically I’m definitely on the mend but Mentally and Spiritually I’m broken," he wrote in the caption. Noting how he couldn't sleep the night before, the host reflected on how "it’s been a year already since the toughest day of my life occurred. Such a painful anniversary. Losing a child has to be the heaviest, most dark and depressive experiences that I will never get over." Feelings of guilt, pain, and sorrow is what he suppresses daily. As for what he wished he could have given Zen in the short time they had together, Cannon wanted his "Little Man" to feel more of his love."
Nick Cannon has expanded his family yet again. Now, we knew he was expecting his ninth and tenth children with Abby De La Rosa and Brittany Bell, respectively. Apparently, he also had one on the way with model Lanisha Cole. It was speculated that Lanisha was pregnant with Nick's child but the news was never confirmed by either parent.
Nick announced the news on his IG with the comment: "Introducing ONYX ICE COLE CANNON. Once again Today I am in Awe of the Devine Feminine! God has given me and @MissLanishaCole the privilege of hosting an Angel here on earth. I vow to protect, provide, guide and love this child to the best of my abilities. I promise to love this little girl with all my heart, regardless what anyone says…I’ve given up on attempting to define myself for the world or society but instead I’m doing the work to heal and grow into the infinite Being God ordained me to be. Hopefully I can teach Onyx the same, to not let others shame or ridicule her with their outside opinions, because when they do they are only projecting their own harsh experiences, pain and social programming onto her unblemished beauty." Nick even went on to defend Lanisha, saying "[Lanisha] is one of the most guileless, peaceful and nonconfrontational kind souls I’ve ever witnessed, and only deserves to revel in this moment of blissful joy of motherhood. Please give her that. She is so loving and pure hearted."
