Long History With The Late Late Show
Both guests have a long history with the late-night talk show. Ferrell, 55, was one of Corden's first guests when he took over hosting the show in 2015. Meanwhile, Styles, 29, appeared on the show numerous times -- even hosting for Corden on occasion. The "As It Was" singer's love for the Late Late Show runs so deep that he has a tattoo of the logo on his arm. In December 2015, Styles lost a game of "Tattoo Roulette" when he appeared with the rest of One Direction, and the rest is history.
Confirmation of Styles' appearance in the finale comes after the show was forced to shut down rumors that One Direction was reuniting for Corden's final episode. Last week, a rumor about a reunion started spreading on social media. Addressing the speculation on Twitter, the show's official page tweeted a Daily Mail screenshot with the words: "FALSE ALARM" written across the article. "Nobody loves the boys more than us … but this story just isn't true. What is true is we've got an absolutely brilliant 2 hour finale planned to celebrate 8 years of #LateLateShow at 10 pm on April 27th."

Filling out the show's final seven episodes are appearances by Billie Eilish, Josh Gad, Jennifer Garner, Mila Kunis, Seth Meyers, Billy Porter, Lisa Kudrow, Sharon Stone, Natalie Portman and Tom Cruise. The Late Late Show with James Corden airs on weeknights on CBS.
As we previously reported, Corden announced his exit from the show last April after hosting for eight years. The British comedian is the fourth host, following Tom Snyder, Craig Kilborn and Craig Ferguson. Only Ferguson has held the job longer at nine years.
