Drew Barrymore is calling out her former Music and Lyrics co-star for always being a rude person, yet loves him for it. Barrymore, who starred alongside Hugh Grant in the 2007 romance musical, said Ashley Graham got “the real Hugh" during her infamous red carpet interview at the Oscars.

During a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show Friday (March 17), Drew, 48, discussed Grant’s recent comments about her singing and how she needed a bit more “auto-tune” than him on Music and Lyrics. More specifically, she acknowledged his claim that he “heard dogs bark better than she sings.” However, Barrymore noted that she wasn’t offended by this comment.

She then pointed out his seemingly awkward interview with Graham, where Grant, 62, didn’t really give her answers to the questions she was asking. The day after the Oscars, Graham addressed the viral interview when a TMZ reporter asked if she had taken offense to Grant’s responses. The model replied, “You know what, my mama told me to kill people with kindness, so there you go.”

The 50 First Dates star said of Hugh's criticism of her voice that if you know him, this "is his way of loving you. It’s funny, too, because there’s this thing going around with him and Ashley Graham on the red carpet. And people are like, ‘He’s such a curmudgeon. And she’s so thrown.’ I’m like, ‘No. That. Is. Hugh. Grant.’ You think you’re getting this charming movie star, and what you really get is grumpy Hugh,” she said. “And then you fall in love with grumpy Hugh.”

She explained that when Grant makes offensive comments like that, he was being “absolutely funny” and that he “doesn’t mean one negative thing about” it. She said that Hugh's behavior on the red carpet was "the real Hugh" and noted that it took her a " second, probably like Ashley Graham on the carpet" to contemplate who she was dealing with. "And then I was like, ‘Oh no, I love you, I want to love you. You’re not letting me love you!” As she was getting to know him, she came to a realization about why she liked him. “I was like, ‘I do love you. I love you for the real you,’” the Charlie’s Angels star explained. “He is a hilarious, good human being.”

Hugh Grant’s Rude Oscar Interview With Ashley Graham

During a red-carpet interview with Ashley Graham at the Oscars Sunday (March 12), Hugh Grant gave the model nothing to work with. After shrugging with his hand on his hip when Graham called the 62-year-old actor a "veteran of the Oscars," he kept his standoffish attitude throughout the remainder of the interview.

"What's your favorite thing about coming to the Oscars?" asks Graham, keeping up a cheerful manner. Grant blinks a few times before replying, "Um... Well, um..." Laughing at her question, the Love Actually star finally came up with the words. "It's fascinating. The whole of humanity is here. It's vanity fair." Slightly taken aback at his response, Graham tried to play along with Grant.

In an attempt to continue the interview, Graham then asks Grant who he's most excited to see. The actor just says, "No one in particular." Things get even more awkward when Graham asks about what he wore for the evening and Grant goes, "Just my suit." Grant says he couldn't remember the name of the tailor for his tuxedo.

Finally, she went on to ask about his experience filming his cameo in the recent Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. "Well, I'm barely in it. I'm in it for about 3 seconds," he responded. When Graham asked if he had fun doing the film, he responded, "Almost."

Take a look below at what Twitter had to say of the exchanges. But suffice to say, sometimes it's best to not do interviews if you don't feel like being interviewed!
