The City of Fayetteville will hold Election Day on Tuesday, July 26, to decide the Mayor and all nine City Council districts.

After a long delay, the City of Fayetteville will finally determine its mayor and city council members, as election day is Tuesday, July 26.

Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the municipal elections that had been scheduled for November 4, 2021. Those were delayed after redistricting delays associated with the 2020 Census.

All nine city council seats, and the mayoral race will be contested Tuesday. There are no other races in the county or state on the ballots, and only residents of the districts who are registered voters in the City of Fayetteville are eligible to vote in this election.

Registered voters may locate their precincts on the Board of Elections website at cumberlandcountync.gov/elections. Look for the “Precincts and Polling Sites” button under the “Resources” tab. You may check your Voter Registration status through the State Board of Elections at vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/.

Election results will be available through the State Board of Elections website and posted at cumberlandcountync.gov/elections.
