Cameron Diaz has officially un-retired from acting,: her last film was 2014's flop, Annie, alongside Quvenzhané Wallis and Jamie Foxx.

Despite her last film being unsuccessful, Diaz, 49, has starred in some major blockbuster hits like The Mask, the Charlie's Angels trilogy and Shrek, to name just a few. Her Annie co-star Jamie Foxx has taken credit for bringing Diaz out of retirement with a phone call, which was shared on Netflix's official Instagram.

With the caption, "@camerondiaz is officially unretiring!! She will star with @iamjamiefoxx in a new Netflix movie — and we have an unexpected person to thank for getting her back in action…," the unexpected person they spoke of was recent NFL legend, Tom Brady, who recently retired and then changed his mind.

"Cameron, what's up. It's Foxx," the Django star says in the phone recording to Diaz.

"Thanks for calling. I'm so anxious right now. I'm like, pacing the room," Diaz admits to Foxx, adding, "I feel excited but, I don't know how to do this, ya know?"

Jamie being the understanding guy he is, tells her he's got somebody on the other line that can help Cameron ease her anxiety. "I would love that. Any kind of tips I can get," Cameron replies.

Cue in Jamie's addition of the "G.O.A.T." to their call who says, "I was talking to Jamie and he said you need a few tips on how to un-retire. I'm relatively successful at un-retiring," the NFL footballer quipped.

Diaz laughed and said, "Honestly... exactly what I needed."

Netflix has not yet set a release date for the film, but Foxx wrote on Twitter that production is set to begin this year.

"(Jamie Foxx) only you could get me back in action," Diaz wrote in an Instagram story following the announcement. "I can't frickin wait it's gonna be a blast!"
