Madonna attends the "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between" Costume Institute Gala at Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 1, 2017 in New York City.

Madonna is baring it all with an NFT… which might make it somewhat more difficult to get that meeting with the Pope that she recently requested.  Madame X worked with the nonfungible token artist Beeple to create a very NSFW NFT that made fans and critics gasp.

The NFT contained the “Like a Virgin” singer fully nude and giving birth to butterflies, insects and trees — the collection even includes a 3D model of her vagina.

In a new interview with Beeple creator Mike Winkelmann that she posted to her social media, Madonna defended her naked physique saying, “I’m doing what women have been doing since the beginning of time, which is giving birth,” the mother of six shared to her Instagram account Wednesday (May 11). “But on a more existential level, I’m giving birth to art and creativity and we would be lost without both.”

The proceeds from the NFT — entitled “Mother of Creation” — will be given to the charities National Bail Out, V-Day and Voices of Children. Madonna and the artist then discussed their vision for the artwork and what they both wanted to portray. “I say we need a forest with creepy crawly bugs coming out of me,” Madonna quipped. “Not often does a robot centipede crawl out of my vagina.”

“My journey through life as a woman is like that of a tree. Starting with a small seed, always pushing against the resistance of the Earth. The endless weight of gravity,” she concluded.

On Wednesday, Madonna noted in a statement that the purpose of the NFT was “to investigate the concept of creation, not only the way a child enters the world through a woman’s vagina but also the way an artist gives birth to creativity.”

Madonna captioned the post, “Give birth to an urban, burned out, post-apocalyptic masterpiece!!!!”

“Me pretending I understand what this is all about “yasssssss slaaaay,” wrote one fan, while another said, “You are the greatest visionary icon of all time queen.”

However, not everyone loved her vision, with some Instagram users criticizing the NFT writing, “What the hell is she talking about? I don’t think she knows,” while another wrote, “This is dark & nothing masterful or good about it. She is lost. Sad.”
