Taylor Swift Debuts ‘This Love (Taylor’s Version)’ In A New Trailer
Taylor Swift teased an excerpt from a remake of her 2014 song, “This Love (Taylor’s Version),” in the trailer for a new Amazon Prime Video series, The Summer I Turned Pretty. “This Love (Taylor’s Version)” will mark the second release from 1989 (Taylor’s Version), after “Wildest Dreams.”
With this second release, fans are expecting 1989 (Taylor’s Version) to be the next album out in her series of six full-length recreations and bonus tracks of her original six Big Machine studio albums.
Swift, 32, took to Instagram today (May 5) to share the news: “Thank you @jennyhan for debuting my version of This Love in the trailer for @thesummeriturnedpretty!! I’ve always been so proud of this song and I’m very about this turn of events – This Love (Taylor’s Version) comes out tonight at midnight!”
Per Variety, Swift’s music has been featured in a lot of trailers recently, with a preview released last month for David O. Russell ’30s period drama Amsterdam as well as the trailer for another upcoming film, Where the Crawdads Sing, which featured a snippet of a brand new song, “Carolina,” that Swift wrote for the film, in theaters July 15.
The Summer I Turned Pretty premieres on Prime Video on June 17 and is based on author Jenny Han’s YA novel of the same name. The series stars Lola Tung as Isabel “Belly” Conklin, an ordinary teenage girl who spends summer vacation with her mother and older brother and gets caught up in a triangle with a childhood friend and his brother.
