Chris Rock is still not ready to talk about the incident that occurred at the 2022 Oscars ceremony where Will Smith slapped the comedian for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

“Lower your expectations. I’m not going to address that s---,” Rock reportedly told the crowd at Comedy Cellar Tuesday night (April 5) per Page Six. Rock was there to perform a surprise set to refine his jokes for his ongoing comedy tour,

Rock had the same approach when it came to his comedy show in Boston last week.

“I don’t have a bunch of s--- about what happened,” he said about the incident adding that he is still reflecting on the matter. “I had like a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I’m still kinda processing what happened. So at some point, I’ll talk about that s–.”

A lot has transpired since "The Slap" including Will Smith publicly apologizing to the comedian and later resigning from the Academy prior to the committee's ongoing formal review of the incident.
