The biggest fashion night of the year couldn't convince Nicki Minaj to get vaccinated.

Nicki tweeted her thoughts about getting vaccinated for the Met Gala and the rapper says if she decides to get vaccinated, it won't be for the Met and it'll be after further research.

"They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research," the "Seeing Green" rapper wrote and continued to encourage fans to wear masks. "I’m working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one."

Nicki's first comment about COVID sparked yesterday when a fan tweeted a picture of the rapper from her last public appearance. The Pink Friday star wrote back, "I have an infant with no nannies during COVID. who mad? Not risking his health to be seen. One yaself."

That's when things got a little odd: Nicki shared a story about her cousin's friend from Trinidad who became "impotent" after taking the COVID vaccine. The rapper tweeted, "My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied."

The CDC says on its most updated information page on vaccinations that there is "currently no evidence that any vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines, cause fertility problems in women or men."

After Nicki's tweets, a fan replied back and defended the rapper on her skepticism of the COVID-19 vaccine. The rapper responded, "Love u babe. I was prepping for vmas then i shot a video & guess who got COVID? Do u know what it is not to be able to kiss or hold your tiny baby for over a week? A baby who is only used to his mama? 'get vaccinated.'"

Nicki continued to disclose a convo she had with her former label mate, Drake, and his experience with COVID as well, "Drake had just told me he got covid w|THE VACCINE tho so chile."

Other fans, however, have decided to provide Nicki with their differing opinions on taking the vaccine. One fan wrote, "nicki the vaccine doesn’t prevent getting covid, it prevents you getting serious symptoms. non vaccinated people are 11x more likely to pass away from covid than vaccinated."

Nicki disagreed with the Barb and wrote back, "Babe. That’s not true. I had the exact same symptoms as ppl with the d--- vaccine."

Another fan opened up to Nicki and told her that they had to get the vaccine in order to keep their job but was unsure about getting the second dosage, "I had to get the vaccine cause they wouldn't let me look for a job or get a job and to earn some money and know im unsure about getting the second vaccine."

That's when the New York Native recommended getting the vaccine and insinuated that she's sure she will have to get one if she goes on tour and attends other events, "I know babe. A lot of countries won’t let ppl work w/o the vaccine. I’d def recommend they get the vaccine. They have to feed their families. I’m sure I’ll b vaccinated as well cuz I have to go on tour, etc."

Nicki then went on to provide a poll about which vaccine the Barbz would recommend which started more of controversy when a Huffington Post editor clapped back and said, "was this the research?" to which Nicki replied, "You have been tweeting about me for an hour. You not #Tide yet? Mad I’m my own person? Mad the internet can’t scare me away? It’s always someone who looks like you. Polls are very much a part of research. Real experiences, Open dialogue, etc. Go put on your red nose clown tingz."

MSNBC's Joy Reid from The Reid Out spoke about Nicki's tweets saying it was irresponsible of her to use her platform to "encourage our community to not protect ourselves and save our lives." The rapper quote tweeted the clip and wrote, "This is what happens when you’re so thirsty to down another black woman (by the request of the white man), that you didn’t bother to read all my tweets. 'My God SISTER do better' imagine getting ur dumb a-- on tv a min after a tweet to spread a false narrative about a black woman."

The Reid Out wasn't the only one that got a piece of Nicki's mind as she responded to the former The View co-host Meghan McCain's quote tweet of her status about her cousin, "That’s entirely enough internet for today" to which Nicki replied, "Eat s--- you."

Nicki seemed to end her Twitter tirad with a simple laugh-crying emoji, "😂"
