Sharon Osbourne After Drama On ‘The Talk’: ‘I Do Not Condone Racism’
Sharon Osbourne posted an apology to the black community on her Instagram following the backlash of her support of British TV host Piers Morgan.
One Instagrammer commented “Looks about white, all these folks saying she did nothing wrong😑 🤦🏻♀️,” got 151 likes.
Another user said, “The reason you panicked because you can’t relate to what you know in your heart your not and it’s frightening when someone would even suggest or imply that !!… your a wonderful heartfelt woman with a beautiful heart and not a bad bone in your body , don’t sweat this Sharon ,,, everyone knows who you are and we love you,” getting 425 likes.
While defending her friend Morgan, Osbourne’s The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood pointed out to Osbourne that “You’re standing by your friend. It appears that you give safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist.” A flustered Osbourne responded by saying she felt like she was about to be put “in an electric chair.”
Osbourne then freaked out on The Talk, telling Underwood, “Don’t try and cry, cause if anybody should be crying, it should be me!”
Underwood remained calm throughout, saying she didn’t want any of the viewers watching to think they’re attacking Osbourne for being a racist.
The discussion on The Talk follows Osbourne’s tweet defending Piers Morgan, saying “@Piersmorgan I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth.”
