As we previously reported, R Kelly's former girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, broke her NDA and was finally talking about her relationship with R. Kelly. She announced on Instagram that she would team up with the platform Patreon to tell her story to people willing to pay for an account.
Now TMZ is reporting that the pay site has been removed because they are unable to verify if the real Joycelyn is behind it. They say, "There's been a lot of doubt Joycelyn Savage is behind the Patreon account ... an account which calls out Kelly, accusing him of physical abuse and forced abortions."
A spokesperson for Patreon explains, "After multiple unsuccessful attempts to verify the identity of the account holder, we closed the Patreon page allegedly associated with Joycelyn Savage due to potential impersonation. All patrons who signed up for the membership page were refunded and the creator did not receive any funds.
TMZ adds that over 1,800 people paid membership fees.
