Authorities have confirmed at least 30 pipe bombs were found in a remote location in North Carolina.
According to WFMY News, a surveyor stumbled upon the bombs on Monday.
Police in Roxboro were called to the scene and dispatched the bomb squad.
The bomb squad determined the devices were not armed at the time they were found. The homemade pipe bombs have since been destroyed.
The FBI has been brought in to assist with the case.
Authorities have a person of interest who they believe built the bombs, but they do not believe the suspect intended to do anything malicious with the devices.
Rather, it is believed he built the bombs to use in a just in case scenario.
At this time, the man has not been arrested.
