Jamie Lynn Spears Reflects One Year After Nearly Losing Her Daughter

Last year, Jamie Lynn Spears' whole world turned upside down after her daughter nearly died in a freak accident.

While riding an ATV, little Maddie flipped the vehicle and landed in a pond -- Trapped under the ATV.

For several days thereafter, the then eight-year-old lay unconscious in a hospital bed as her mom watched helplessly next to her bedside.

Maddie's recovery was very much a miracle and Jamie hasn't forgotten that aspect of her daughter's recovery.

In a recent Instagram post, Spears addressed the one year anniversary of the ordeal, and thanked everyone for their prayers during their difficult time.

Today, Maddie is a happy and healthy nine year old who has fully recovered from the accident that nearly claimed her life.
