It’s safe to say when news broke about a Tonya Harding movie being in the works and that Margot Robbie was cast as the disgraced figure skater, most of us were thinking “WHHYYYYY?!”
Upon seeing the teaser trailer, however, this film may just triple axel its way into our hearts.
Robbie’s transformation has been heavily documented, but seeing her in those awful bangs and skater dress is something to behold. Like a train wreck or the media circus that surrounded Harding and Nancy Kerrigan during the 1994 Olympics, you can’t help but stare.
And the same could be said for moviegoers when I, Tonya hits theaters December 8.
