Which Countries Are the Most Plastic Surgery Obsessed?
The United States is officially the most plastic surgery obsessed country, with more than 4 million procedures completed last year.
The findings come from a new study done by the The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Brazil landed in the number two spot (their citizens got 2.5 million procedures last year), with Japan, Italy, and Mexico rounding out the top five.
In terms of the most requested procedures, Americans favored liposuction and breast augmentation. The study takes into account all kinds of plastic surgery and not just major procedures like rhinoplasty or face lifts.
