Director James Cameron will be teaming up with Ubisoft to create a sequel game to his 2009 movie, Avatar. Ubisoft is known for their previous works like Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs.
Reportedly, the game will be big-budget and will be “cutting edge”. There is not much information announced about the actual game, except for a teaser trailer. In the video, a commentary can be heard between all of the game makers, including Cameron. As for the footage, what you see in the video is not from the upcoming game. Most of the scenes are recycling from the 2009 film.
Today, Ubisoft announced it is partnering with Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox Interactive to create a cutting-edge new game for PC and consoles set on Pandora, the beautiful and dangerous moon from James Cameron's Avatar film franchise. Massive Entertainment, a Ubisoft studio, is leading the game's development. For more info: http://www.massive.se/
All that is known is that players are left to explore Pandora. We can only imagine that this will open us all up to an interesting, yet adventurous tale. Earlier in February, Cameron announced that there are currently four Avatar sequels in the works. Production for the next movie will begin in August and all four movies will be filmed close together.

Star Sam Worthington told We Got This Covered that “They’re going to be shooting concurrently. The plan is to have some time in between, I think, but these things are always ambiguous until they start. We’re still set to start in the summer, though. James needed time to perfect the scripts. Whenever he says jump I go because he’s the man. I’ve read all the scripts. They’re great. This film is going to be like nothing you’ve ever seen.”

Mostly everything that will be seen in the upcoming movies, will also affect the upcoming game. The game is still early in the stages of development and it is unclear when they will announce a release date. However, we can only assume that it may be in conjunction with the release of the first part of Cameron’s sequel.
